Rated 4 out of 5 by from Must have item for a through axle frame Bought a new road bike and needed this to attach it to my Kickr Snap, install was easy and it’s working fine. Price was a little high since it has three different threaded axles but what can you do. At least I know I’m covered if I switch bike brands again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from 1/3 good works fine ... dont like having to pay for 3 when i use only one

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works with Specialized Endurance Frames/Hubs Got this to be able to load my Specialized Diverge onto my new KICKR Snap. Fine threaded thru-bolt worked perfectly. While I haven't tried it, it should work with the Roubaix as well. Only slight disappointment is that I need to replace the skewer/hub receiver on the drive side of the Snap to use the thru-hub. While it works, it means I also need to switch out the receiver whenever my wife wants to use her bike with the Snap. Ideal solution would be a skewer-like end cap that I could thread onto the thru-hub and have it fit into the standard drive-side receiver.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Works fine, but not a universal fit The thru axle adapter kit is perhaps overkill given that you are forced to buy three axles instead of only the one you need. Sure, some people own multiple bikes, but for those of us who don’t it is a waste of money. On the positive side, the axle is solid, well-built, and the medium fits my bike perfectly in terms of the threading. It also fits perfectly into the Snap, as expected. The biggest problem I have, however, is that they do not include any spacers with the axle. The drive-side end extends so far from my bike that when the lever engages at the proper point, it pushes my bike tire left of center. If I adjust so that the bike closer to center, the handle engages far too early making it difficult to lock. I also worry that I will cause damage to the frame by making it flex too much. I need this product because my bike does not accommodate a quick release, but it is not a perfect fit and I have to live with my bike being a little off-centered on the trainer. Including a couple of spacers would not be very costly and would make a world of difference. I would only recommend this product if you absolutely must use it because competitor thru axles (which work better) do not fit with wahoo trainers.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Works Fine, Expensive! I bought this a few weeks back. The product works and is easy to install. However, the price is absurd. After buying the $600 product, it would be nice if the price of the adapter was cheaper.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Works Perfectly in my Kickr Snap - but too $$$$$$$ After purchasing a bike with a 12x142 thru axle, I had no choice but to purchase this product in order to continue using the Kickr SNAP. The one axle I needed installed easily and works great. However, packaging all possible variations in one product forces users to pay FAR too much, to get two axles that they will likely never use. Wahoo should break this into three selections; each axle individually with the necessary other parts. This should then be priced similarly to the 12x142 skewer for the Kickr itself.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good but very expensive This does what it is supposed to but it’s very expensive, I have 4 bits and I only need 2

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Solid product I am a big fan of Wahoo products but am annoyed I had to buy 3 piece set at triple the cost when only one size is needed. I understand that different bikes take different adapters but it shouldn’t be that hard to identify the one size needed so as to avoid payment for three.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Axle works fine, way over priced! I bought this about a month ago. I needed it in order to use my new SNAP. Unfortunately I was unable to find a reasonably priced substitute. For whatever reason these trainer axles are ridiculously expensive. I only needed one. Why can't Wahoo sell them individually? Or at least price them more reasonably. It works fine with the trainer and my bike. Not sure what to do with the other two. Maybe I'll used them as door stops or something.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from It works-expensive I had to order these to go with my SNAP as the one it came with was much too skinny. Glad I was able to make it work, but $80 is absurd. They should also sell these in singles. I have two axles now I’ll not need.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Expensive and a bit clunky $80 for a trainer axle is nuts. Now, you get 3 when you plop down that money, but you're generally only going to need 1. Also, having to swap out the trainer cup if you put a QR axle bike on it clunky. Take a look at The Robert Axle Project. They're a good bit cheaper and don't require a cup change. Lastly, if you're also looking at the Kinetic axle, keep in mind you'll need a 18mm socket/wrench to remove it, so you'll need to swap in your original axle every time you go from the trainer to the road. Ugf.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Does not work with all bikes This adapter does not work with a Santa Cruz Bronson. The kit is well made, and probably works great for some bikes, just not this one.
Date published: 2016-03-12
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not worth it The product seems decent enough, but I'm not going to ride my bike on the trainer enough to justify the $80 price tab. SO EXPENSIVE!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I just want to buy 142x12 medium thread :( I just need 142x12 medium thread not a whole box of 3. Can't understand why it is any hard to do it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor design Ridiculous that I had to buy 3 instead of a single piece to fit my bike. Correct axle installed ok but rear wheel is now offset about 1/2 from center of drive roller! Spacer on non-drive of axle would fix but not included in kit. Problem is due to axle length, with half the thread protruding from drop out. Really disappointed since always had good experience with Wahoo products.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Great product that should be included with bundle! I have two answers to this: Firstly the product itself is sturdy and does what it's supposed to do. Secondly the fact that this product is not included in the box when I ordered almost $1,000 of device is absolutely appalling and to further add salt to the wound they charge a ridiculous amount of money and time to get it to your door when you find out after all your excitement that you don't have one thing you need to play with your new toy. So if you are buying a SNAP I really do hope for your sake that you know enough to search for this and buy one - else you will be like me when you excitedly wait for your new trainer but then waste 10+ days waiting for a bolt to arrive.... uncool, Wahoo, very uncool.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Overpriced! Overpriced for a piece that should come with the 2017 Kickr Snap. I still had to go to Home Depot to but washers to keep everything tight. Waste of money and a waste of time.i waited a week to receive this.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Stupid expensive Product works just fine but it's riduclous that you need to buy 3 for $75 when you only need 1. Please start selling them individually.
